Some final checks before ordering:
The most common archtop fingerboard radius is 12". If you are uncertain, email me the guitar model and year and I will try and find out. A commercially available fingerboard radius gauge may also be useful. There's also a printable one available below for download.
If you are ordering a complete unit with the base, I advise printing the bridge spec below which provides a number of base arcs for comparison with your guitar / existing base. If you closely match the base arc this will reduce fitting time considerably. If done right, some guitars will need no further adjustment to the base.
Please note, some guitar tops are distorted and do not have a uniform arch. In some cases, one may prefer to have a professional guitar-tech do the final fit.
If you are purchasing a custom saddle, you need to measure between the centre of the two thumbwheel posts on your existing bridge base (often 2.9"/73.6mm - a Gibson standard). This will ensure a perfect fit.
Use your existing bridge saddle to determine what string spread will suit the guitar best. Measure between the outer-edges of the saddle slots for the E-strings (usually 52/53mm).
Unusual requests are welcome and please feel free to email me with any questions. Some alterations such as inlays will incur an additional charge. The general bridge-spec is available for download as well as a printable radius gauge which is useful for identifying unusual radii.
